Setting up my first portfolio site

Why a personal site matters, what it should include, and the power of keeping it simple.

A personal site is the clearest way to bring your projects, experience, and thoughts together in one place.

You don't have to be perfect in the first version. A homepage, a few projects, a short CV, and one blog post are enough. What matters most is publishing and updating it over time.

What to include

  • A short introduction about who you are
  • Selected projects (not all of them)
  • A readable CV summary
  • A blog section you can write in regularly

Keep it simple

Don't let the design overshadow the content. A sense of brand, clear typography, and a good hierarchy are usually enough.
